No. Volunteers sign up with just their name and email address. They receive a secure magic link via email to view and manage their registration — no password or account required.

A magic link is a secure, unique URL sent to a volunteer's email after they sign up for a shift. Clicking it takes them directly to their confirmation page without needing to log in. The link is cryptographically signed and tied to their specific registration.

Sign in to your SignUpBreeze account, go to your dashboard, and click "Create Event." Choose from a predefined template to get started quickly, or click "Start from scratch" to build your own. Fill in the title, description, location, and dates. If you chose a template, shifts are added automatically — otherwise, add them manually with time slots and the number of volunteer spots you need. When you're ready, enable the "Publish immediately" toggle to make your event live.

Share your event's public URL or QR code. Volunteers visit the page, pick an available shift, enter their name and email, and they're done. The whole process takes about 30 seconds.

Every event has a unique public URL (like signupbreeze.com/e/spring-cleanup) and an automatically generated QR code. Share the link via email, text, or social media, or print the QR code on flyers and bulletin boards.
